Overview
Slovenia tour 11 days will show you everything Slovenia is known for and much, much more. It is surprising, a small county like ours can be so diverse. Sceneries, architecture, dialects, cuisine, and wine, get way different just after an hour’s drive. From the Julian Alps to the Adriatic coast, from the rolling hills of Brda to the eastern plains of Prekmurje, a traveler will get the feeling he/she is changing the county continuously. Slovenia is one of the youngest countries in the world, being independent only since 1991, but its history, linked to ancient Rome, Austrian Empire, Venetian Republic, interwar Kingdom of Yugoslavia and post WW2 socialist Yugoslavia is an opportunity for the traveler to get a ˝big picture˝ of European history. The tour will take you to some must-see places like Ljubljana, Postojna Caves, Lake Bled, but includes some lesser-known corners like Bohinj, Novo Mesto, Ptuj… Natural sites and urban areas will follow each other on an overwhelming tour of the country, you better visit now, before everybody else gets here.
