Day 1  LJUBLJANA/TRIESTE/VENICE AIRPORT-BLED               

Activity level: easy 15km

bike toursMeet your guide at Venice, Ljubljana or Trieste Airport from where you’ll be transferred to Lake Bled for one night. You´ll be accommodated in the lake front Grand Hotel Toplice or similar for two nights. In the afternoon get acquainted with your bike and explore Lake Bled area with its picturesque castle, Vintgar Gorge and the only Slovenian island. This evening enjoy a typical Slovenian dinner in a nearby medieval town of Radovljica. (D)

 

Day 2 BLED-KRANJSKA GORA-BLED 

Activity level: easy 35km

bike toursAfter breakfast you’ll be transferred deeper into to Julian Alps from where you´ll bike passing by Jesenice, Kranjska Gora and Rateče to end up your beautiful day on the Italian border. After a refreshment our van will take you back to Lake Bled for free afternoon and evening. (B)

 

 

Day 3 BLED-LJUBLJANA                                                                              

 Activity level: moderate 50km

bike toursAfter breakfast get ready for a picturesque bike ride following the Sava river valley to Ljubljana. On the way admire Alpine peaks and typical Slovenian countryside. Afternoon arrival to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Your hotel for three nights is the centrally located Grand Hotel Union or similar. Later you’ll be taken for a dinner in an elegant local restaurant. (B, D)

 

 

 

 

Day 4 LJUBLJANA   

No biking

bike toursLjubljana’s Old Town is a pedestrian’s paradise that sparks the imagination of rare beauty in this romantic, baroque setting.  The willow tree lined Ljubljanica River winds its way through the middle of the city under many bridges that connect both sides. Cosy restaurants and cafes sprinkle along the river and send out a friendly invitation of comfort and romance for the traveler. All that and more will be pointed out by our local guide during an included walking tour. The rest of the day is free to relax and to explore Ljubljana on your own. (B)

 

 

DAY 5 LJUBLJANA-PREDJAMA CASTLE-POSTOJNA CAVES          

Activity level: easy 30km

slovenia cyclingThis morning we leave Ljubljana and bike through Ljubljana Morse to reach the first hills of Dinaric mountains. Later you’ll continue by a van for a visit to a cliff hanging Predjama castle and stunning Postojna caves. After the cave visit drive to Vipava valley for two nights. Your lodging is the Green farm Majerija or similar. Tonight enjoy an excuisite dinner with best Slovenian wines. (B, D)

 

 

Day 6 VIPAVA VALLEY   

Activity level: easy 30km

BIKE TOURSVipava valley offers one of the best biking experiences in Slovenia. Due to its mild climate, the region is suitable for the cultivation of different fruits (especially peaches, apricots, persimmons, and figs). The Vipava Valley is also renowned for its high quality wines, especially white ones. Vipava valley meets beautiful Soca valley near Brda, a renomated wine growing region, where we´ll take you for a truly home – hosted meal with wine. (B,D)

 

 

 

Day 7 VIPAVA VALLEY-KOPER-PIRAN 

Activity level: easy 45km

BIKE TOURSWe will take our van for a short climb to a Karst Plateau to start biking towards Slovenian coast. The route takes us through vineyards and woods, bypassing stone house villages reaching the coastal town of Koper after a great descent. Here you continue on a scenic costal bike trail, following the route of the early 20th century railroad all the way to Piran – The Pearl of Adriatic. Your lodging for two night is the waterfront Hotel Piran or similar. Why don´t you deep your toes into the Mediterranean sea? Tonight dine in a local restaurant and enyoj the sunset over the Adriatic sea. (B, D)

 

 

Day 8 PIRAN-GROŽNJAN-POREČ

Activity level: moderate 50km

BIKE TOURSThis morning continue on the scenic bike trail  from Piran, pass by  the largest Salt pans in this part of the world. Later had across the border to Croatia and bike through stunning Istrian countryside. After the stop in Grožnjan, medieval hilltop village, reach the coastal town of Poreč for three nights. Your Hotel Mauro or similar is situated in the old town next to UNESCO´s Heritage site, the Euphrasius Basilica.  (B)    

 

 

 

Day 9 POREČ                                                                                                  

 Activity level: easy  30km

BIKE TOURSToday head further inland into Istria to discover some hidden corners of one of the most touristy areas of Croatia. Your biking experience in Istrian countryside takes you pass vineyards, olive groves and hill top-towns.The scenery just calls for a picknik break on the way. A circular trail  brings you back to Poreč in the afternoon. Evening free. (B)

 

 

Day 10 POREČ-ROVINJ-PULA-POREČ                                                     

Activity level: easy  30km

croatia private tourStart your day with a short transfer to Rovinj. Afterwards bike through the southern part of Istrian peninsula to admire the towns of Rovinj and Pula. Rovinj is the most picturesque town along the splendid Istrian coast, a town that preserved it´s medieval looks completely. In Pula, the largest town in Istria, with its abundance of ancient Roman buildings and it´s famous Arena, one of the best preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world our guide will reveal the history behind the monuments. Later you’ll be transferred back to Poreč for a farawell dinner in a local restaurant. (B, D)

 

 

Day 11 PIRAN-LJUBLJANA, TRIESTE, PULA or VENICE AIRPORT

After breakfast you’ll be transferred to Ljubljana, Venice or Trieste airport for your return flight home. (B)
