Day 2 Kranjska Gora ski resort

skiing europeOur first day on the snow and first chance to discover the resort, with some of the richest ski tradition in Europe. Kranjska Gora is basically one of the resorts founders of Ski World Cup. Together with Kitzbühel, Wengen and Dolomites is considered as one of the World Cup classics. First races were held here in 1961 and the tradition continues every single winter for the last 58 years, with two day event of giant slalom and slalom race for men. Day 3 Kanin-Sella Nevea or Tarvisio ski resort

skiing europeDepending on weather and snow conditions we will choose between two resorts to ski today. Kanin is the highest Slovenian ski resorts and one of the few resorts in Europe, from where you can see the waters of Mediterranean Sea. It is connected with Italian ski resort of Sella Nevea, which gives you unique opportunity to ski the slope that runs through two countries. In case of bad weather we have a back up option of Italian ski resort Tarvisio, located just across the border, 20 minutes drive from Kranjska Gora. After skiing transfer towards world famous lake Bled, our place of stay for the next 2 nights. Your loodging is the trully GH Toplice or similar. (B,L,D)

Day 4 Vogel ski resort

skiing europeToday we visit, by the opinion of many Slovenians, the most charming ski resort in Slovenia – Vogel. Nestled above the magical Bohinj Lake and overlooking the highest mountain of Slovenia – Triglav, this ski resort offers some of the most spectacular views in Slovenia. As it is part of Triglav national park, limited developments are allowed, which gives the resort extra exclusiveness. Lodging and dinner Bled. (B,L,D)

Day 5 Krvavec ski resort

skiing europeWe will start a morning with 30 minutes transfer, to the most popular Slovenian ski resort Krvavec. Krvavec also won the best Slovenian ski resort award by organization World Ski Awards. It offers spectacular views of Slovenian capital city Ljubljana. At the end of ski day a short transfer to Ljubljana, where we will spend a night in GH Union or similar  and explore dinning delights of charming capital city. (B,L,D)

Day 6 Ljubljana city (no skiing)

skiing europeExploring best of Ljubljana town in the morning, light lunch by the river and transfer towards the eastern part of Slovenia in the afternoon. We will spend a night on Rogla, the most popular family ski resort in Slovenia, nestled between pine forests. Lodging in Hotel Natura or similar on Rogla. (B)

Day 7 Rogla ski resort

skiing europeEuropean Alps are ending here slowly and the dramatic alpine landscape is turning into the smaller mountains and hills, covered with pine and beech forest. Rogla is great resort for families, with its stable weather, clean air and wide variety of slopes. It also offers one of the best cross country skiing in Slovenia. In summer some of the best European sport teams come here, for pre season training camps.  Lodging and dinner on Rogla. (B,L,D)

Day 8 Mariborsko Pohorje ski resort

skiing europeAfter breakfast transfer to Maribor, second biggest city in Slovenian and most eastern ski resort of the European Alps. Mariborsko Pohorje stands at the end of Alps where mountains turns into hills full of vineyards, elevation of the ski resort base is just 320m above sea level and some of the slopes finish right in the suburbs of Maribor.  Considering all this facts, it is hard to believe that Mariborsko Pohorje is actually the biggest ski resort in Slovenia. After skiing we will have time to explore Maribor in the evening. Lodging and dinner in Maribor Hotel City or similar. (B,L,D)
