The most deserved 5 Star Review I have ever given.
I cannot rate this company highly enough. I did the ‘three countries tour’ of Trieste in Italy, Groznjan in Croatia and Piran in Slovenia. The driver and Tour Guide was Stefan. Spending a day with Stefan was like being with an old friend. He is so knowledgeable, so well travelled, so likeable, and so eloquent. He made the entire trip, so enjoyable that it will be a trip that I will remember for ever. If you want an unforgettable experience, look out for the “A day-trip to three countries (Slovenia, Italy, Croatia)” tour and if you are lucky enough to have Stefan as your tour guide, you are in safe hands. I cannot wait to return.

Rovinj&Istria tour Aug 2025

It was a hard experience to get!
We were given a private tour to visit Robini starting in Trieste and continuing on to the Istria Peninsula. I had hoped to visit the Istria Peninsula, which suffered a strange fate along with Trieste, the southernmost tip of the Iron Curtain, but I had given up on going there because it was an area that could not be reached by public transport and could only be reached by car. On the day, our guide Stefan showed us around very carefully, and we really enjoyed our time. It was a very difficult experience to get in Japan, an island nation, as you can never cross two national borders in just a few dozen kilometers. Mr. Stefan talked about Italy, Slovenia and Croatia and their unique streetscapes and industrial conditions, going back to the historical background, and I felt that he deepened (if only slightly) his understanding of the region. The small and pretty towns and villages we stopped by along the way were also really nice. I was not feeling very well on the day, and with the record heat, I had a bad second half of the 9 hour tour, but the weather was nice and I enjoyed the view. As you can see, the tour was really fun and meaningful, but if I wanted to, the only regret was that if I had had two hours of free time in Robini, I could have hired a boat to take a cruise in the harbor … (although it is such a beautiful sea and completely unknown in Japan, the perfection of Robini as a resort was so great that I really wanted to keep it to myself). The tour is fantastic and recommended for anyone interested in the area. Thank you very much, Mr. Stefan! Note that due to the current situation in the region, passports are mandatory when participating (although we never showed passports at checkpoints in Croatia – Slovenia – Italy).

Message for Stefan

Well Stefan we have been home a week now since leaving Ljubljana, and as it is winter time it is extremly cold, which is somewhat unusual. I must say that I think that I would still like to be in your lovely country and visiting many other interesting towns and vilages..

Thank you for your looking after us during the 3 day trips we did with you, bringing a rleaxing and informative journey, your recommedations for dinner in Ljubljana, which was just lovely, and I wish we could have spent more time with you. Our pictures will always be a wonderful memory to both of us.

Thank you once again and have your boys finished their turkish delights.

For me Slovenia is a beautiful country.

Ljubljana and Lake Bled tour May 2025

Fabulous Day Out, Thank You Stefan
We did the 8-hour Lake Bled and Ljubljana tour and it was wonderful, made all the more wonderful by our guide for the day, Stefan. Stefan was charming and a mine of information. This tour was part of my present to my husband for his 70th birthday. Stefan collected us from our hotel (who recommended the company) and the three of us hit it off from the beginning. The car was very luxurious and I encouraged my husband to sit up the front while I sat in the middle at the back so I could hear and see everything. We headed off to Lake Bled but not without Stefan stopping on the way to give us the best view of Trieste (where we were staying). Stefan spoke about many of the places we passed on our way to Lake Bled, it was really interesting and he also kept encouraging us to ask questions. Stefan brought us to a coffee shop so we could taste the Bled Cream Cake – divine. We did a little touring around Lake Bled and Stefan gave us an opportunity for a short walk around the lake before we headed to Ljubljana. We did a walking tour of Ljubljana with Stefan. Stefan pointed out buildings of historical interest, places to shop and places to eat and then he left us to our own devices for a couple of hours and we did all the things he suggested. We had lunch at Klobasarna – genuine street food. Stefan delivered us back to our hotel, very satisfied customers. You absolutely get what you pay for with this company. Thank you to Andrej for setting this up for us and to Stefan for a fabulous day out.

Germany tour May 2024

In May of last year my wife and I took our third trip with Slovenia4Seasons. Our goal was to visit the prominent sites of Martin Luther and the beginnings of the Protestant Reformation. This included Leipzig, Wittenberg, Erfurt, Worms and Wartburg Castle. As usual, Andre and Stefan exceeded all expectations. Accommodations, local guides, transportation, and of course the food were outstanding. We are so grateful to these two guys for all of the organization and planning that goes into such a trip, and everything always seems to go off without complications. In 2016 we took our first trip to Italy, in 2019 we repeated some parts of Italy but also included northern Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia Herzegovina. These trips have always been fabulous experiences, so for our next trip, we’ve decided to do something a little adventuresome and out of the ordinary. I have asked Andre to organize an “anonymous itinerary”. He tells us which airport to fly into and which airport to fly out of, but tells us nothing about the stops in between. That should be fun!
I could not recommend Slovenia4Seasons more highly. There is absolutely no other way to travel.

Balkan Delight tour 13D

Hi Andrej

We wish to pass onto you how much we enjoyed and appreciated our 12 day sojourn and Balkan adventure with Stefan.

He was a source of much detailed history and was expert at interweaving facts with stories that brought alive the atmosphere of the different centuries… that Ottoman Empire weaving its way across all the different countries, those BCE Oracle of Delphi to the monasteries of Meteora and the very tolerant Moslems of Albania… we were exposed to so much and hope that our interest was appreciated by Stefan.

Great restaurants and wines , a van where I could sit up front as I get car sick..

So it has piqued our interest for other trips in the future… including Slovenia 🇸🇮

Slovenia&Croatia tours Aug 2024

Great tour guide!!
My wife and I did two days of touring with Jernej starting first with the caves Postojnska then proceeded to Bled and finally Ljubljana. We learned a lot about the history of the towns and the country. The stories from Slovenia contributed to earlier tours in Split and Dubrovnik giving us a greater understanding of the history of the region.

His knowledge of backroads not only allowed us to avoid traffic jams on the highways but provided interesting stories on the daily lives of people in the countryside. He knows all the good restaurants finding us the perfect local experience for lunch in Bled and dinner in Ljubljana. He even knew where to get the perfect gifts for our children.

The second day we took his tour to Rovinj and countryside towns of Motovun and Groznjan where he had many connections to local merchants and knew all the hidden spots of the town.

Two perfect days we will never forget and would recommend Jernej for any tour in the area.
